UWC students leave with more than lasting friendships and an education – they graduate with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, an alternative to ZIMSEC and Cambridge’s Advanced Levels, a globally recognised qualification that opens doors to top universities around the world. Many UWC graduates also receive university scholarships, including those offered through partnerships with leading institutions that value the UWC experience.

Our alumni have participated in the Global Citizen Year and have enrolled with universities in Zimbabwe, South Africa, the USA, Canada, the UK, Germany and Spain, to name a few. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is recognised by our local universities, such as the University of Zimbabwe (UZ), giving our alumni the option to return to Zimbabwe. Over the years, many of our students have returned with the academic and personal growth they gained at UWC, bringing a global perspective to their communities and often becoming leaders in local initiatives, student groups, or research projects.
The impact of a UWC education goes far beyond academics. Whether they go on to study, work, or volunteer, UWC graduates carry with them the mission and values of UWC: a commitment to peace, sustainability, and making a difference.
Across every field and region, UWC alumni continue to create positive change in their communities and beyond – showing that the UWC journey doesn’t end at graduation, it is only just beginning.
