Tinotenda, UWC RBC ’26, meets Shelby Davis.

Our student, Tinotenda, at UWC Robert Bosch College in Germany recently met with Shelby Davis, a philanthropist and avid supporter of the UWC movement through his contributions to the Davis-UWC Scholars Program and the Davis-UWC Dare to Dream Program, amongst others. Here is what Tinotenda has to share about her conversations with Mr. Davis,

“We were reminded that a helping hand goes a long way. This sentiment resonates deeply with my own experiences, and it was heartening to see how many others from Robert Bosch College shared similar testimonies. The impact of generosity, mentorship, and support was a recurring theme throughout the event.

Mr. Davis encouraged us to “always say yes when offered a cake or otherwise [we] will miss great opportunities.” The message behind it was to encourage us to seize all the opportunities we get because it is in those opportunities that great things are hidden.”
